The new phrase my son has adopted happens to be "I've wanted that my hold life!" This is said to just about everything.
The new treehouse he wanted me to buy for him at Toys R Us... this was the first time it was used and I actually thought it was cute and funny so lucky for him he has a new treehouse toy.
However, not so funny or cute anymore.
When he doesn't want to eat his dinner but NEEDS a piece of chocolate.... "I've wanted chocolate my whole life!"
When he would rather take a bath instead of a quick shower.... "I can't take a shower... I've wanted to take a bath my whole life"
When wanting to go to Spanish class at school.... "I wanted to go my whole life!"
When wanting to have a pirate birthday party... "I've wanted one my whole life!"
As you can see... it could get really annoying! First time cute.... next 500 times old. I've decided that the only way to fix this is to annoy him in the same way... mature huh?
When he's not listening at school or home I will say... " But I wanted you to be good my whole life!"
When I need him to let the dog in for me... "I needed you to my whole life!"
When I need him to pick up his toys... "I've needed you to do it my whole life!"
We'll see if it works... It might end up being just as annoying! :)
