A long long trip

This past weekend we headed to Ohio. It was a LONG drive (won't be doing that again)but was good to see family we haven't seen in a while. Matt's cousin was getting married so we headed up to Ohio Thursday so we could go to the Columbus Zoo on Friday. It was a lot of fun! Gavin really enjoyed staying in a hotel and playing with his cousin at the hotel pool!

Getting ready....

The office is cleaned out and everything has found a new home. Now that we know we have a little girl on the way it's time to say goodbye to the farm mural the previous owners had painted and say hello to a pink room! :) This past weekend Gavin helped daddy put up a chair rail and put primer on the wall. He was less than interested in helping with the chair rail but had lots of fun painting!

Pictures from July 4th

All the family came for July 4th! We had a great time going to the pool and watching fireworks at the fairgrounds. (Well some of us did... Gavin wasn't as thrilled but he warmed up after a little while) Here are some pictures from the weekend!

The results are here....

Today we had our gender ultrasound and it went very well. Matt and I just knew it was going to be another boy but as you can see we were wrong! We are sooo excited. (I'm not sure if Matt is happy it is a girl because it's a girl or because he knows that I won't pressure him as bad to keep trying! haha!)Gavin flips back and forth. It depends on when you ask him. He went into the doctors office saying he wanted a sister and left saying a brother. Haha!

All looks good with the baby. She has a big head like her brother and is growing wonderfully. It is so amazing to see those ultrasounds! After doing multiple flips like an acrobat (oh joy!) she made us all smile when we saw her yawn! I could have stayed and watched all day!

Father's Day

After church on Sunday we headed to Lake Gaston to play with Aunt Nen and crew! Gavin got on the tube with the girls and did really well! I will admit I was a little nervous with no adult out there but Uncle Kev went slow so all was well.

Here's some pictures of riding the tube:

Oh the lovely month of June...

We have been so busy this month. June is a crazy month in our family. Every year we travel to Maryland for the first 2 weekends in June. This year was no exception. Except this year was a little crazier. Usually we go up for 3 birthdays. My sisters and her two kids. This year we went up for 4 birthdays and a graduation! Nothing like taking care of things all at one time huh? We really have a good time but it sure does leave us exhausted! Here are some pictures of the last few weekends!

Just want to sleep....

To all 15 of you stuffed animals that Gavin makes sleep in the bed with him (and you crazy invisible snake that came last night),

Please find another place to sleep. I can't handle another night of Gavin waking us up 7 times.

Puppy -- Keep your hands to yourself and stop hitting elephant!

Snake - stop getting in Gavin's bed and scaring him... even though Gavin can see you mommy can't... so do us all a favor and just stay out!

Bear -- is it really necessary to start losing your stuffing at 3:00 in the morning. Keep that stuff inside until at least 8!

"Roar" - I know you are a dinosaur and I know Gavin insisted putting that sound box in you at Build A Bear but please stop roaring when Gavin turns over on you. It scares him! Don't worry though... no matter how many times you roar and scare him he won't let mommy or daddy take you out of his bed!

And to God.... thanks for trying to turn my kid into a sweet child who always wants a hug and a kiss from mommy. I will admit I absolutely love kisses and hugs from Gavin. Just..... please don't send him in the middle of the night. That "one more hug and kiss" that really ends up being like 20 more hugs and kisses can surely be done in the morning when I wake him up!

Thanks to all of you for your cooperation. Matt and I look forward to a peaceful night sleep tonight!
