I've wanted that my whole life....

The new phrase my son has adopted happens to be "I've wanted that my hold life!" This is said to just about everything.

The new treehouse he wanted me to buy for him at Toys R Us... this was the first time it was used and I actually thought it was cute and funny so lucky for him he has a new treehouse toy.

However, not so funny or cute anymore.

When he doesn't want to eat his dinner but NEEDS a piece of chocolate.... "I've wanted chocolate my whole life!"

When he would rather take a bath instead of a quick shower.... "I can't take a shower... I've wanted to take a bath my whole life"

When wanting to go to Spanish class at school.... "I wanted to go my whole life!"

When wanting to have a pirate birthday party... "I've wanted one my whole life!"

As you can see... it could get really annoying! First time cute.... next 500 times old. I've decided that the only way to fix this is to annoy him in the same way... mature huh?

When he's not listening at school or home I will say... " But I wanted you to be good my whole life!"

When I need him to let the dog in for me... "I needed you to my whole life!"

When I need him to pick up his toys... "I've needed you to do it my whole life!"

We'll see if it works... It might end up being just as annoying! :)

A Rough Few Days...

What was supposed to be the "easy" pregnancy took a turn on Wednesday morning. I awoke around 5 to some horrible pain. At first it kinda felt like contractions in my back then that pain would go away but there was still a dull pain there and it was hard to move my right leg. Wonderful. The pains were pretty regular and they were about 12 minutes apart. After going through my morning routine to get ready for work I felt as if I could be leaking fluid. Could my water really have broken this early?? After getting coverage at work I headed to my doctor to have everything checked out. The good news.... my water had not broken! The bad news... the pain I was feeling.... a combination of contractions that were now about 9 minutes apart and the baby sitting on my sciatic nerve. They sent me over to the hospital for some monitoring and then when the contractions slowed down on their own they sent me home to rest. The last few days I've been trying to take it easy but the contractions still seem to keep coming. A little birdie told me at the hospital not to be surprised if my regualr doctor put me on bed rest next week. We are really hoping that doesn't happen. If it does I'll be looking for that winning lottery ticket everyone wants to find! Until then I'll do my best to be a full time mommy/wife/student/and employee without pushing it too much! Yeah... we'll see how that goes...

Does it really start already??

Apparently Gavin thinks that the Halloween holiday is right around the corner. He has already started with what he wants to be for Halloween. Now... I'm all about being organized and having things done in a timely manner but really Gavin?? It's still August! I don't think that it helps that mommy isn't too thrilled about what he wants to be.... So what is it you ask????

A PIG! REALLY??!!!

To all the stores selling costumes that I may visit with Gavin in tow..... do not put out any pig costumes in his size! Until then... mommy will do her best to convince hime to be something else!

VBS

I'm a little late posting these because I was debating whether or not to put them on the blog. The pictures I got from Friday night really weren't all that good. Gavin had a blast at VBS this past week and I can't say that mommy and daddy were too disappointed by the extra couple hours they had kid free! The kids did lots of really cute projects throughout the week and Gavin loved telling us what he did each night. Throughout the week they collected pennies for missions. Gavin had to make sure he had pennies to take every night! When we ran out of pennies in our jar he even made his way to Grandma and Gigi's bunny bowl to find some more! I like to think he has a big heart for missions :) If the children raised at least $500 dollars one of the men in our church with long hair promised to cut his hair! On Friday the children did a musical and I was just sure that Mr. "I sing everything that pops in my head and love being the center of attention" would be the one up on stage singing all the words and doing all the movements. As you can tell from the videos.... the first song he had entirely too much stage fright and the last song he only did some of the movements because he was so busy looking at Ms. Dawn doing the movements up in the balcony! Haha! Too funny! We'll see how next year goes!
